Multistream app
For Windows and Mac. When a new version is out, an Update card in the app's side menu lets you download and install it.
0.1.17 (2026-11-01)
- When Facebook turns down your stream key, Multistream now tells you how to make the key stay the same (Facebook's "Use a persistent stream key" switch), so you don't need a new key every stream.
- The Windows download is much smaller. The streaming tools now come down by themselves the first time you open the app (about a minute), and only again when they change.
- Two Twitch channels (or Kick, or YouTube)? Turn on as many as you like in Connections: chat and alerts come in from all of them at once, the bot answers in the channel the command came from, and title, polls and Shield go to every one. On stream, chat looks the same as before; the chat overlay can show which channel each message came from.
- Anything that's loading now shows the Multistream logo with a line of light running round it, in your plan's colours.
- Opens about 5 seconds faster when you first launch it
- Opens a little quicker every time, and Instagram now loads only when you connect it
0.1.16 (2026-11-01)
- Chat overlay: 10 new chat looks (Terminal, Neon, Comic, Frost, Sticky notes, Retro, Aurora, Receipt, Captions and Quest). Point at one in the Look tab and it plays in the preview, without touching your stream; click it to use it.
- What's new: after an update, a short list shows what's new and what got a new look, with a button to go straight there. New and Updated tags in the menu point them out too. It waits until you're off stream, and the What's new row in the menu shows it again any time.
- Actions, Redeems, Stream Deck, Emote Wall, Event List, Likes and the Carousel are on multistream.gg now: set them up from any browser, even before the app is open, and the app picks them up. Steps that send things from your PC, like web requests and Discord posts, can still only be changed in the app.
- Channel page, Referrals and Notifications got a cleaner look: your channel page shows a preview as you type, Referrals explains how free months work in three steps, and Notifications has quick choices up top.
- The help bubble in the corner now opens a real chat: just type and press Enter, replies show as chat bubbles, and your past conversations are one click away.
- The private test in the setup guide now waits for you by itself: press Start Streaming in OBS and your stream shows up right there, with help for the usual snags (no OBS yet, no Multistream dock, wrong key) if nothing arrives.
- YouTube sign-in now goes straight to Google: Google has finished reviewing Multistream, so there is no warning page to click past anymore.
- Five more places to stream: Substack, FC2 Live, Naver TV, Douyu and Huya. Pick them under Add a platform.
- Tips from Streamlabs and StreamElements now pop up as alerts, count toward your goals and can be read out loud, just like Ko-fi tips. Paste your token under More platforms, Tip services, and the app connects by itself.
- Rumble chat: paste your Rumble Live Stream API link in Connections and your Rumble chat shows with your other chats, with rants as tips in your alerts.
- Lighter OBS overlays: alerts, goals, timers, polls, the wheel and the other add-on overlays now load about twice as fast and each uses less of your PC's memory, which helps when your game needs it.
- Follow, reward, and TTS alerts in the chat overlay now match your chat's look
- Small fix: the Spanish name for "Account settings" is now correct
0.1.15 (2026-10-31)
- Setting up to stream from a phone now asks how you go live: in the platform's own app (like the Instagram app), where your chat simply shows in Multistream, or with a streaming app like Moblin, IRL Pro or Larix, which sends one stream to all your platforms. You can change it later from Home.
- The Instagram sign-in window now requests the language selected in Multistream instead of leaving Instagram to choose a different language.
- Instagram sign-in now recognizes your account from the signed-in page instead of rejecting it when an extra account check redirects. Save login info and verification screens stay open until you finish. Closing the login window no longer causes a background error. Denied access to Live comments is shown separately.
- Windows no longer asks to allow network access when you start the app or go live.
- OBS and Speaker.bot now accept a port pasted into Host. Mistyped addresses explain what to correct instead of retrying endlessly.
- Authorize with YouTube now tells you what to fix when it can't connect (no YouTube channel yet, or the YouTube box left unticked on Google's page) instead of showing Connected with a blank channel.
- YouTube chat no longer offers Delete, Mute or Ban on your own messages or your moderators' messages, since YouTube never allows those from an app. Deleting viewers' messages works as before.
- Before the YouTube sign-in opens, a card now shows the 3 clicks Google asks for while it finishes reviewing Multistream (Advanced, Go to Multistream, Continue), so the warning page no longer stops anyone.
0.1.14 (2026-10-29)
- On multistream.gg, every page in your dashboard now opens with a short picture and a line on what the feature does for you (Games, Disconnect protection, Stream a video, Multichat and the rest). Once a feature is on, it shrinks to one slim line so your settings stay in view, and the home page tells the same story.
- New guide on multistream.gg: how to multistream from your phone (IRL) with Moblin, IRL Pro, BELABOX or Larix.
- The welcome email for new accounts now also points to the free Windows app download.
- New: a commands page. Turn it on in Bot > Commands and viewers can open one page that lists every chat command you let them use, and !commands links to it.
- The app now speaks Polish. It follows your computer's language, or pick one in Settings.
- If Windows' Smart App Control stops the install, the installer now says so plainly instead of showing an error code.
- Windows pop-ups about a connection problem now show once, not again and again. The bell in the app still keeps the full list, and a platform that is simply waiting for you to go live no longer counts as a bad connection.
- The app no longer says you're live on TikTok after your TikTok live has ended. It now checks with TikTok every couple of minutes.
- Once setup is done, Home shows what you stream with, with a Change button next to it, so you can switch to another streaming app or your phone without running setup again. Your platforms and finished setup steps stay as they are.
- Sign in with your browser now keeps waiting through a short internet hiccup and shows Reconnecting, instead of stopping with an error code.
- Sign in with your browser is now one click: press Connect the app on the website and Multistream signs in by itself, with no code to compare. If the app is on another device, you can still use the code.
- Stream a video: if a file can't be read, the app now says so in one plain sentence and tells you to save it again as an MP4, instead of showing the converter's error text.
- The chat overlay no longer goes partly blank when chat gets very busy, like during a raid: every new message slides in fully.
- Your chat overlay and alerts now always show in their own font, even when your internet is slow or drops: the fonts come with the app instead of being downloaded each time OBS loads a scene.
- When a platform refuses or cuts your stream, the reason now shows in your language, not only in English.
- When you add a platform, the tips on where to find your stream key and server address now show in your language.
- Update now gets the newest version even if the one the app found earlier was taken down, instead of saying the update didn't download.
- The feature banner now uses simple check marks instead of pill labels.
- The page name sits at the top, and the headline wraps onto two lines.
- Multichat shrinks on its own once chat starts moving.
0.1.12 (2026-10-28)
- A new version shows in the side menu within a minute of coming out, with no restart.
0.1.11 (2026-10-28)
- New versions show up in the side menu within minutes, and as soon as you click back into the app, so you never have to restart it to see an update.
- Your Twitch videos' pictures reach your Multistream account even when they're large.
0.1.10 (2026-10-27)
- The app is now in 10 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Turkish and Traditional Chinese. Pick yours in Settings, Language.
- App updates are one Update click in the side menu, and only the changed parts download.
- YouTube chat starts coming in again by itself right after your PC wakes from sleep.
- Studio live is tidier: the stream status comes first, each platform has a slim row, and a rejected stream key shows as one card instead of many.
- Connections: add several accounts per platform from one card picker, and the app uses the same Twitch, YouTube and Kick list as your Multistream account. Facebook chat and Stars show in chat and alerts after one sign-in.
- The pre-stream check now says plainly when OBS is simply closed, and when a platform refuses or drops your stream you see the reason in plain words.
- The sample chat in the Chat overlay shows while you set it up and disappears once you go live. Phone streaming's End test also ends the test on your phone.
- Analytics, Streams: every stream is a card with its Twitch picture, with search and sorting, and opens into a full page with a summary, a Watch button, the chat log and highlights.
- Your Twitch videos' pictures, titles and view counts are kept in the app and on your Multistream account, so old streams keep them after Twitch deletes the video.
0.1.9 (2026-10-26)
- The app now runs on a Mac (macOS 11 or newer, Apple silicon or Intel): chat, alerts, overlays, the bot and multistreaming from your own computer, the same as on Windows.
- On a Mac, read-aloud can use the voices built into macOS, with no key or internet needed.
- On a Mac, the pre-stream check sees whether OBS and your other programs are open, and checks your sound.
- The Mac app isn't signed by Apple yet: the first time, macOS asks to be sure (System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway), and updates come from the Download page instead of installing themselves.
- Games: Mac programs can be added by name (no .exe needed).
0.1.8 (2026-10-21)
- Chat comes back on its own after your PC wakes from sleep: Twitch chat, Twitch alerts and TikTok chat right away, Kick chat within seconds instead of minutes.
- Shared chat keeps its messages through a reconnect.
- Your stream title and category are the same in the app and on the website, and categories match better between Twitch and Kick.
- The bot's settings, quotes and viewer points are the same in the app and on the website.
- !adtimer says plainly when an ad is running, when you're offline or when none is scheduled.
- A notice shows when chat isn't being read aloud because Speaker.bot is closed.
- Home tells an expired Twitch login apart from a new permission Twitch needs.
- A "Something not working?" card on the About page, clearer messages when something goes wrong, and a tidier side menu.
0.1.7 (2026-10-20)
- Updates wait for you: when a new version is out, the Update card in the side menu has a Download button, then an Update button. Nothing downloads or installs by itself, not even when you close the app.
0.1.6 (2026-10-20)
- New: when a new version of the app is ready, an Update card shows in the side menu on every page. One click installs it.
- The Connections menu scrolls when it gets long, and one "More platforms" row opens a searchable picker with every platform you can stream to, plus Streamlabs, StreamElements, Tipeee and Fourthwall tips.
- Signed in to Multistream Cloud: your past streams and their chat stay on your account, so the website shows them even with your PC off, and the app backs up your settings once a day (never your passwords). Restore a backup from the Data page.
- The website shows whether the app is open on your PC, and its Analytics page can read the app's live numbers while it is.
0.1.5 (2026-10-19)
- New: Stream a video. Go live with pre-recorded videos or music: loop or shuffle a playlist, schedule it, set an end time, or add videos from a Google Drive or Dropbox link (Pro).
- Chat no longer goes quiet without warning: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Kick and Twitch reconnect by themselves after a hiccup.
- Overlays recover by themselves from errors instead of showing an error box on stream, and a flood of gifts no longer delays alerts by minutes.
- Chat messages no longer show up twice after a reconnect.
- Bot: viewers can no longer cheat their way to free points or spend someone else's points.
- Text-to-speech now blocks the same swear words as chat, including spaced-out letters and number swaps.
- Settings changed by chat commands or the bot (new !commands, voice picks, counters) are no longer undone when you save in the editor.
0.1.4 (2026-10-19)
- The app tells you when an update is ready and what's new in it.
- Actions can switch the vertical scene, show or hide a vertical source and mute the vertical sound (needs the OBS plugin 1.1.0).
- Safer: websites you visit can no longer reach the app's local controls, relay or bot.
- Multistreaming recovers cleanly after a crash instead of getting stuck.
- Fixed and redesigned several Be Right Back screens.
- Platform rule reminders are up to date, and TikTok no longer warns about the chat overlay.
- Pro: the Account page no longer lists a feature that isn't in this version.
0.1.3 (2026-10-18)
- A smaller download: features still in testing are left out of this version for now.
0.1.2 (2026-10-18)
- The Chat Window and VR Dashboard are left out of this version while they're finished.
0.1.1 (2026-10-17)
- Installer: a folder or disk-space problem now shows right away, where you can see it.
- Installer: picking a whole drive (like D:\) installs into a Multistream folder on it.
- Installer: a folder that already holds other files isn't used, so uninstalling never removes them.
- Installer: the desktop shortcut switch works when installing over an earlier version.
Multistream for OBS
The OBS plugin. The Multistream dock in OBS tells you when a new version is out.
1.2.7 (2026-10-31)
- Pressing Stop while a feed is connecting or reconnecting now keeps it stopped. A connection that finishes late is closed, and pressing Start again still works.
- The Multistream dock in OBS now speaks Polish when OBS is set to Polish.
- If your graphics card's video encoder stops (for example when it runs out of encoder slots), the plugin now switches to the next one, down to your CPU, instead of trying the same broken one forever. The dock says which one it switched to, or tells you to lower the bitrate or turn off the vertical feed if none works.
- The vertical feed comes back within seconds after your internet drops, instead of waiting longer after every failed try.
1.2.6 (2026-10-26)
- First install: the vertical Preview, Scenes, Sources and Mixer open as tabs under the Multistream dock on the right of OBS, with the vertical picture in front, instead of five panels squeezed into one column. If you've already arranged your docks, they stay where you put them.
- The vertical docks are now called Preview Vertical, Scenes Vertical, Sources Vertical and Mixer Vertical, so you can tell them apart from OBS's own even when a tab is narrow.
1.2.5 (2026-10-26)
- OBS 33: sound set to “Monitor only” stays off the vertical stream, even with its own vertical volume, and the Vertical Mixer says “Monitor only”.
- OBS 33: OBS's log is no longer filled with warnings while the vertical canvas plays sound.
1.2.4 (2026-10-26)
- Vertical preview: right-click a source for a menu like OBS's (Center, Fit, Transform, Order, Filters and more), and new sources come in at their own size, centered.
- Vertical sources list: drag to reorder, drop picture, video and sound files in, select several to show, hide, lock or remove together, and Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Delete and F2 work.
- Groups show the sources inside them, and Add existing lists your sources by kind, with your main and vertical scenes.
- Vertical mixer: faders go up to +6 dB with the level under each one, and right-click a source for Rename, Filters, Properties or Hide.
- Sound set to “Monitor only” in OBS stays off the vertical stream, and OBS's sync offset is used there too.
- Sound in your other vertical scenes shows greyed out, so you can set it before you switch.
- Vertical recording: a Pause button (OBS's own Pause pauses it too), a Quality choice, and OBS's file names and splitting.
- Saving a clip says “Clip saved” with an Open folder link, and switching scene collections no longer ends the vertical recording.
- The vertical preview shows its size and zoom, can be turned off to save your computer some work, and says what's wrong in plain words.
- Mac: the vertical stream, vertical recording and replay now start. They were stuck looking for an NVIDIA encoder a Mac doesn't have; now they use the Mac's own encoder.
1.2.3 (2026-10-25)
- The dock no longer says LIVE when no platform is getting your stream. It says “No platforms” and why.
- If OBS won't start the stream (a bad key or an encoder problem), the dock says so in plain words, with OBS's own message.
- If Multistream can't be reached while you're live, the dock says so instead of showing old platform states.
- Signed out while live? The live view and End stream stay, with a Sign in again button.
- “Put OBS back” in the account menu returns OBS to the stream setting it had before Multistream. Uninstalling does it too, and forgets your sign-in.
- Signed out: “Make one free” is a link, and the dock says up front that the Free plan needs the Multistream app open.
- Error messages stay until you close them, instead of vanishing after 6 seconds.
- Help and tutorials in the account menu, and a Max plan that ended says Max.
- The dropped-frames check names the setting to change and a bitrate to try.
1.2.2 (2026-10-25)
- In the Vertical Preview, the selection box sits on what you see. Before, a Color or a “fit” source got a box covering the whole frame.
- A Color added from the vertical side starts phone-sized.
- Rotate 90° turns a vertical source in place. Before, it swung out of the frame.
- Click inside the selected source to drag it, even under a full-screen overlay: pick the camera in Vertical Sources, then drag it in the preview.
- Flipped sources stay put when you resize or crop them, and Fill and Fit keep your flips and crops.
- Sources added with Add existing fill the frame and are trimmed to it, so their handles stay on the frame.
- Removing a vertical source asks first, and Edit → Undo puts it back.
- Vertical Mixer: clicking the fader's groove, the mouse wheel and the arrow keys change the volume. Before, only a drag did.
- If the vertical recording can't start (also from OBS's own Record button), you get a message saying why.
- A vertical scene made from a main scene brings the sources inside groups, keeps their crops, and keeps full-screen alerts and chat on top.
- While OBS streams or records, the vertical preview says it starts once both stop, instead of “starting…” forever.
- The installer tells you to update OBS if it's older than 31.1, which Multistream needs.
1.2.1 (2026-10-25)
- The Multistream and Vertical docks can be resized again when they share a column. Before, together they took the whole column and no divider would move.
- Vertical Scenes says SHOWING for the scene in your vertical picture, and ON AIR only while the vertical stream is going out. Before, it said ON AIR with nothing live.
- In a short dock, the Go live and End stream buttons stay on screen: the rest scrolls.
- If Multistream Cloud is slow or down when OBS opens, the dock says so instead of asking you to sign in again, and picks your account back up by itself.
- A platform that turns your stream down while you're live has a Try again button on its row.
1.2.0 (2026-10-23)
- Multistream for OBS on a Mac, as a beta (macOS 12 or newer, Apple silicon or Intel). The first time, the Mac asks before it opens the installer: in System Settings, open Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. On a Mac, following a game points a Screen Capture source at the game.
- Your title and category can follow the game you play. Set up your games on multistream.gg under Games: open one with OBS running and the dock switches your title and category to it on Twitch, Kick and YouTube.
- The dock shows the game you're playing and whether each platform took it. It can ask first ("Switch to Elden Ring?"), and it waits a few seconds so a quick restart doesn't switch twice.
- Open a game that isn't in your list and the dock offers to add it, with its category found for you.
- Your Game Capture or Window Capture can follow the game too: click the gear on the game line in the dock and pick the source.
- Used Game Window Switcher? The dock offers to bring your games over, titles and categories included.
1.1.2 (2026-10-23)
- While you stream with Multistream Cloud, your stream report also shows how OBS kept up: frames it missed because your computer was busy, and your computer's load. If something goes wrong, the report says what it was and what to change.
- The Vertical Scenes, Sources, Mixer and Preview docks have a new look, like the Multistream dock: the Mixer has upright faders, and the docks fit a narrow or short column without anything overlapping.
- Portable OBS: the installer now updates the plugin inside a portable OBS too. Before, a portable OBS kept running the old version after every update.
1.1.1 (2026-10-22)
- A new installer, in the same style as the Multistream app's. It shows whether OBS is on your PC and new enough.
- If OBS is open, the installer waits for it to close, then carries on by itself. "Close OBS for me" closes it the normal way, so OBS still asks first if you're live.
1.1.0 (2026-10-19)
- A vertical canvas in OBS with its own scenes, sources and sound mix, for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
- Vertical Scenes, Sources, Mixer and Preview docks, with transitions and a hotkey per scene.
- Record the vertical picture and save replays from it.
- Right-click the Vertical Preview for a projector window, fullscreen on any screen.
- Needs OBS 31.1 or newer.
1.0.1 (2026-10-19)
- The dock reaches multistream.gg on every PC (it no longer depends on Qt's networking).
1.0.0 (2026-10-18)
- The Multistream dock in OBS: check your setup, then go live on all your platforms with one button.
- Sign in once from OBS; the dock remembers you.
- Twitch straight from OBS while the rest go through Multistream, without a second script.
OBS scripts
The Twitch and Vertical tools for OBS (Tools → Scripts). The app keeps them up to date; OBS loads a new version when it starts.
1.0.0 (2026-10-15)
- Multistream Twitch tool: OBS streams to Twitch itself and sends a copy to Multistream for your other platforms.
- Multistream Vertical tool: sends a vertical picture for TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
