Multistream vs Meld
A free app with a chat bot, text to speech and analytics, and Multistream Cloud with disconnect protection for $10/mo.
Where Multistream gives you more
Meld is a free streaming app with a free relay for OBS. Multistream works with the OBS you already use and is free too, then adds a chat bot, text to speech, loyalty points and analytics, and Pro keeps your platforms live if OBS drops.
1. A full chat bot
Multistream: Commands, timers, moderation and loyalty points, free in the app. On Pro the bot runs in the cloud, even with your PC off.
Meld: Meld's website doesn't list a chat bot.
2. Your chat, read out loud
Multistream: Chat messages and alerts are read out on stream, with many voice services to choose from, free.
Meld: Meld's website doesn't list text to speech.
3. Know how every stream went
Multistream: Growth, sessions, audience and viewers for every platform you stream to, free in the app.
Meld: Meld's website doesn't list analytics.
4. Stay live when OBS drops
Multistream: If OBS or your internet drops, Pro keeps every platform live on your BRB clip for up to 30 minutes. When OBS is back, you're on the same broadcast, with the same chat.
Meld: Meld's website doesn't list disconnect protection.
Questions, answered
Is Multistream free?
Yes. The app is free: chat, alerts, overlays, the chat bot and text to speech, connected to every platform in one app instead of a separate tool for each. It can also multistream from your PC, to as many platforms as your connection supports. Pro, at $10/mo, adds Multistream Cloud: OBS sends one stream, the cloud sends it to up to 12 platforms and keeps them live if OBS drops. Max, at $30/mo, has three times the data and up to 20 platforms.
Does Multistream work with OBS?
Yes. Multistream is built around OBS: point OBS at it once and press Start Streaming as usual. The app walks you through it and checks your OBS settings.
Can I switch from Meld?
Yes, in a few minutes: download the app, connect your platforms, and point OBS at Multistream. Your channels, followers and chat stay where they are.
Which platforms can I stream to?
Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and more, plus any RTMP or SRT server: up to 12 at once with Multistream Cloud, or 20 on Max.
