Remove spam and links from your chat automatically
Auto-mod removes messages that break your rules before most viewers see them. You, your mods and (by default) your subs are never checked.
You need: The Multistream app on your PC, or a Multistream account
In the app
- Open Tools in the sidebar, then Multistream Bot, then its Moderation page.
- Switch Auto-mod on on, and pick the Platforms it should watch.
- Pick a Trusted role. That role and everyone above it skip every filter.
- Under Filters, switch on the rules you want, such as Links or Banned words. Each one opens its own settings.
- For Links, add sites you allow under Allowed sites. For Banned words, add them under Words.
- Pick what happens under Action: remove the message, time out the viewer or ban them.
A mod can type !permit and a name in chat to let that viewer post one link.
On the website
- Open Bot and click Edit on the Auto-mod card.
- Switch Auto-mod on on and pick the platforms under Moderate on.
- Pick who to skip under Never check.
- Switch on a rule such as Links, Banned words or ALL CAPS, then choose what happens under Then: Delete, Time out or Ban.
- Turn on Tell the viewer why if you want the bot to explain the removal.
- Click Save. The card now lists what it removes.
YouTube is moderated only by the bot on the website, which runs with your PC off. The bot in the app moderates Twitch and Kick.
If a platform needs reconnecting before the bot can remove messages there, the Bot page shows a button for it at the top.
