Change your title and category by the game you play
Set each game's category and title once. When you open the game with OBS running, your title and category follow it, so viewers always see what you're really playing.
You need: A Multistream account, OBS with the Multistream plugin, signed in to its dock, Your platforms added (Twitch and Kick get the category; YouTube gets the title)
Add your games on the website
- Open Games in the dashboard sidebar, under Stream.
- Switch on Change my title and category when I open a game.
- Click Add a game. If the game is open on your PC right now, click its name under Open on your PC now and its name and program are filled in for you.
- Type the Game name, then search for its Category and click it in the list.
- Type a Title for this game, or leave it empty to keep your title and change only the category. Click {game} or {day} to add the game's name or how many days you've played it.
- Under Programs, the game's program shows (like eldenring.exe). If it doesn't, open the game and pick it, or type its file name and click Add.
- Click Add game, then Save games. You'll see "Everything is saved" next to the button.
When: Only while I'm live keeps the change for when you go live. Any time OBS is open changes Twitch and Kick straight away, even while you're offline.
Ask in OBS before switching makes the dock ask first, with Switch and Not now.
Wait before switching is how long a game has to be open (or closed) first, so a quick restart doesn't change your category twice.
When no game from your list is open: Keep the last game's, or pick Switch to… and set a title and category such as Just Chatting.
In OBS
- Open OBS with the Multistream dock signed in. A line under the dock's top shows the game you're playing and whether each platform took it.
- Open a game that isn't in your list: the dock says it's open. Click Add it (or Set it up the first time) and its category is found for you.
- To have your game capture follow the game, click Game settings (the gear on that line) and switch on your Game Capture or Window Capture source. Click Done.
- Used Game Window Switcher before? The dock offers to Bring them over: your games, titles and categories move into your list. Then remove that plugin from OBS so the two don't take turns.
With two games open, the one already set stays until you close it.
Edit your games in the dock's game settings opens this page.
