Add any Multistream overlay to OBS

Every overlay in Multistream (chat, alerts, goals, timers and more) is a web page your PC makes. You show it on stream by adding its link to OBS as a Browser source.

You need: The Multistream app open on your PC, OBS on the same PC

Copy the overlay's link

  1. Open the Multistream app and click OBS Sources in the sidebar, under Overlays. You see every overlay grouped in cards like Chat, Alerts, Goals and games and Text.
  2. Find the overlay you want, for example Chat overlay or Alert box. The line under its name says what it shows.
  3. Click Copy at the end of that row. The button briefly says it copied.

Each overlay's own page in the app has the same link, and the link button above the preview copies the one you are looking at.

On a new install only the Chat card shows at first. Click More sources to see the rest.

Add it to OBS

  1. In OBS, pick the scene you stream from in the Scenes box.
  2. Click + under Sources, pick Browser, give it a name like "Multistream chat" and click OK.
  3. Click into the URL box, delete what is there and paste the link with Ctrl+V.
  4. Set Width to 1920 and Height to 1080 (or your canvas size), then click OK.
  5. Drag and resize the source in the OBS preview to where you want it. The background is see-through, so only the overlay shows.

The link starts with 127.0.0.1, which means "this PC". It only works while the Multistream app is open on the same PC as OBS.

Full-screen overlays like Alerts, all in one and Emote wall look best at your full canvas size: add them and leave them covering the whole picture.

The Docks card holds widgets for your eyes only. Add those as OBS docks or to a private scene, never to what viewers see.
