Get started with Multistream

Multistream puts your chat and alerts on your stream and can send your stream to several platforms at once. This takes you from nothing to ready in about ten minutes.

You need: A Windows 10 or 11 PC, OBS (free) or another streaming app

Make your account

  1. Open the sign-up page on multistream.gg.
  2. Type your Email and a Password of at least 10 characters. Or use the Google button above the form.
  3. Click Create account. Your dashboard opens on the Studio page.

Install the app

  1. Open the download page on your Windows PC and click Download for Windows.
  2. Open the file from your downloads. If your browser asks whether to keep it, choose Keep.
  3. If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Click Install. It takes about a minute.
  5. Open Multistream. It starts on Home with three setup steps.

Put your chat on stream

  1. Under Connect where you stream, pick a platform. Twitch opens a sign-in in your browser; TikTok and Kick only need your name and a click on Connect. The step ticks itself when it worked.
  2. In the next step, click Copy link. Streaming with something other than OBS? Pick it next to Streaming with first, and follow the steps shown for it.
  3. In OBS, under Sources, click + and choose Browser.
  4. Paste the link into URL, set the size to 1920 x 1080 and click OK. The step ticks once OBS loads the overlay.
  5. Click Send a test message. It shows in the preview and in OBS.
  6. Click It's there, finish. Home now shows your stream at a glance.

Not ready for a step? Do this later or Skip and look around keep what is left in the Setup pill at the top of the app.

Your first stream

  1. Stream to one platform the way you already do: set it in OBS and press Start Streaming. Your chat overlay comes along.
  2. Open Go live in the app's sidebar to stream to several platforms at once, then follow Multistream from the app.
  3. Prefer the website? Follow Go live on several platforms at once instead.
