Tutorials · Get started and go live

Multistream from the Multistream app

The app's Go live page sends your stream to every platform you add. Pick Multistream Cloud, or send it from your own PC for free.

You need: The Multistream app on your PC, OBS, A multistream.gg account, for Multistream Cloud

Choose where it sends from

  1. Open Go live in the sidebar, under Multistream.
  2. Under Send from the cloud or from this PC, pick one:
    • Multistream Cloud: your upload carries one copy, and your platforms stay live if your PC drops. Going live this way needs Pro.
    • This PC: free, but your PC sends a copy to each platform, so your upload has to carry all of them.
  3. For Multistream Cloud, click Sign in with your browser, approve the app on the page that opens and check it shows the same code. Or click Use email and password instead.
  4. Turn on the switch next to Multistream at the top of the page.

Add your platforms

  1. Under Platforms, click Add platform.
  2. Pick a platform under Where should your stream go?
  3. Sign in with it if the app offers that. Otherwise click Paste a stream key and paste the key from the platform into Stream key.
  4. Click Add platform. It shows in the list with a switch to turn it on or off.

Connect OBS with the Setup guide

  1. Open Setup guide in the sidebar, under Multistream. It opens on the first step not done yet.
  2. On This PC, under Pick how OBS sends, choose OBS's stream settings: the app sets OBS up for you. Click Next.
  3. If OBS isn't connected to the app yet, follow the steps shown: in OBS, tick Enable WebSocket server, then click Open Actions and the OBS pill.
  4. Click Send OBS to the relay while OBS is not live. It says OBS is sending to the relay.
  5. Click Next, then Check my OBS settings, and press Start Streaming in OBS. It says what to fix, if anything.
  6. Click Next: go live. Once you're live, See your platforms on Go live shows each one.

On Multistream Cloud, the Setup guide is the same as the website's: see Go live on several platforms at once.

The app saves your OBS stream settings first and puts them back when you turn Multistream off.
