Run a giveaway in your chat and draw a random winner

A giveaway (also called a raffle) lets viewers enter by typing one word in chat. When you're ready, the bot picks a random winner and names them in chat. It works on every platform at once, and the same name on two platforms counts as two people.

You need: The Multistream app on your PC, open while the giveaway runs, The bot switched on, so it can announce the giveaway and the winner

In the app

  1. Open Tools in the sidebar, then Multistream Bot, then its Giveaway page.
  2. Under Keyword, type the word viewers send to enter, for example !enter. Only a message that is exactly that word counts.
  3. Pick Who can enter, and under Enter from turn on the chats where the keyword counts.
  4. Leave Sub luck at 1 for an equal chance, or raise it to give subscribers and members extra entries.
  5. Click Open. The bot posts the keyword in chat, and Entrants under Status starts counting.
  6. When time is up, click Close entries, then Draw winner. The winner's name shows under Status and in chat.
  7. Click Draw another for a re-roll or a second prize. When you're done, click Reset and click it again to confirm.

Each viewer is entered once, however many times they type the keyword.

Closing or restarting the app doesn't lose anyone: entrants and winners are kept.

On the website

  1. Open the Multistream app on your PC, signed in. The giveaway runs there, and the website connects to it by itself.
  2. Open Bot and click Edit on the Giveaway card.
  3. Type the word viewers send under Word to enter, and pick Everyone or Subs and members.
  4. Click Open the giveaway. The bot announces it in every chat it can post to, and names appear under Entered.
  5. Click Close entries, then Draw a winner. The winner is named at the bottom of the box and in chat.
  6. Click Start over and click it again to confirm, to end the giveaway and clear the entries. Then click Done.

Clicking Draw a winner again picks someone who hasn't won yet, for a second prize.

To give subscribers extra chances or limit which chats count, open the giveaway from the app instead.

What every setting means

Giveaway in the app

The rules are fixed while entries are open. Close and reset to change them.

Keyword
The word viewers type in chat to enter, such as !enter. The whole message has to be just that word; capital letters don't matter.
Who can enter
Everyone, or only subscribers (Twitch, Kick) and members (YouTube). Someone left out is counted under Not entered instead.
Enter from
The chats where typing the keyword counts. Typing it in a chat that's switched off here doesn't enter you.
Sub luck
How many entries each subscriber, member or VIP gets. 1 gives everyone the same chance; 2 doubles theirs.
Spin the wheel
Spins the Spin wheel overlay on your stream until it lands on the winner, then chat hears the name. Only works while that overlay is added in OBS.
Open
Starts taking entries and posts the keyword in chat. Once a giveaway has entrants this button reads Open a new one, which clears them and starts fresh.
Close entries
Stops new entries. Everyone who already entered stays in the draw.
Draw winner
Picks a random entrant and names them in chat. After the first winner it reads Draw another and only picks people who haven't won yet.
Reset
Clears every entrant and winner. Click twice, so you can't do it by accident.
State
Whether the giveaway is open, closed to new entries, or not running, and the keyword it uses.
Entrants
How many people have entered, split by platform, and how many are still in the draw.
Not entered
People who typed the keyword but whose chat or role the rules leave out.
Winner
Everyone drawn so far, in order, with the platform they entered from.

Giveaway on the website

This box runs the giveaway in the Multistream app on your PC, so the app has to be open and signed in.

Word to enter
The word viewers type in chat to enter. If you leave it empty, it's !enter.
Everyone
Anyone watching on any platform can enter.
Subs and members
Only subscribers (Twitch, Kick) and channel members (YouTube) can enter.
Open the giveaway
Starts taking entries and announces the word in every chat the bot can post to.
Close entries
Stops new entries. Everyone already in stays in the draw.
Draw a winner
Picks a random entrant who hasn't won yet and names them in chat. Click again for a second winner.
Start over
Ends the giveaway and clears all entries and winners. Click twice to confirm.
Entered
The names of everyone who has entered so far.
Done
Closes the box. A running giveaway keeps going in the app.
