Run a poll on stream
Ask your viewers a question and let them vote by typing in chat, on every platform at once. The results show live on your stream.
You need: The Multistream app on your PC, OBS
Start a poll in the app
- Open Polls in the sidebar, under Overlays.
- In the Poll card, keep Chat poll picked so every platform can vote.
- Type your question into Question and your answers into Option 1 and Option 2. Click the plus button for more.
- Set Runs for to how many seconds voting stays open.
- Click the Start chat poll button. Live results appear in the card, and viewers vote by typing the number of their answer.
Under Chat poll voting, How viewers vote sets whether a plain number, !vote with a number, or Either counts.
End poll now closes voting early.
Twitch poll and Twitch prediction use Twitch's own polls and channel points. They need Twitch connected and an Affiliate or Partner channel.
Show it on stream
- Click Copy on the Poll overlay row.
- In OBS, click + under Sources, pick Browser, paste the link into URL and click OK.
- Leave it in your scene. It shows only while a poll or prediction runs and hides when none does.
Switch off Highlight who's ahead so viewers don't just pile onto the leading answer.
Under Look, pick a Colour theme and set Text size and Width so the poll matches your stream.
On the website
- Sign in to the Multistream app on your PC with the same account.
- Open Polls in the dashboard sidebar, under On stream.
- Change how polls look and work any time, even with the app closed: it's saved to your account.
- With the app open, fill in the question and answers and start the poll, just as in the app. It appears on your stream right away.
With the app closed, your changes are saved to your account and show on your stream as soon as the app opens. The first time, open the app once so your current setup is saved to your account.
