Go live with a video you recorded earlier

Play a recorded video, a highlights reel or a music set to all your platforms as a live stream. On the website it can even run with your PC off.

You need: A Multistream account with Pro, Your platforms added

Add your videos

  1. On the website, open Stream a video in the dashboard sidebar. In the app, open the Go live section on the left rail, then Stream a video.
  2. Under Add your videos, click Add videos and pick your files. On the website they upload; in the app they stay where they are on your PC.
  3. Or click Add from a link, paste a Google Drive or Dropbox link, and click Add.
  4. Wait until each video says Ready. Long videos take a few minutes to get ready, once.
  5. Tick the videos you want to stream, and use the up and down arrows to set their order.

Click the scissors on a video to trim it: fill in Start at and Stop at, then click Save.

Sound files like music or a podcast play over their cover art with a moving waveform.

Your chat overlay and alerts come from OBS, so they don't show on a video stream.

Choose how it plays

  1. Under How it plays, turn on Loop to start again from the first video when the last one ends.
  2. Turn on Shuffle to play them in a random order (needs two or more videos).
  3. In the app, leave Say it's pre-recorded in the title on so viewers know it isn't live.

Go live now or later

  1. Under Go live, pick Now or At a set time.
  2. For a set time, pick the date and time, then Once, Every day or Some days.
  3. To stop it on its own, turn on End it after and set the hours and minutes.
  4. Click Go live with your videos, or Schedule it. Scheduled streams show under Scheduled, each with a Cancel button.
  5. While it plays, use Skip to jump to the next video or End stream to stop on every platform.

Needs Pro.

Scheduled from the app on This PC, your PC must be on with the app open at that time. On the website, Multistream Cloud starts it even with your PC off.
