Stream from your phone to every platform

Go live from anywhere with just your phone. Your phone app sends to Multistream Cloud, which sends it to all your platforms.

You need: A phone streaming app, such as Moblin (iPhone) or IRL Pro (Android), A multistream.gg account; going live on your platforms needs Pro

Connect your phone

  1. Open Phone streaming and click Connect my phone. The setup opens with A phone (IRL) picked.
  2. Under Pick your app, choose yours, for example Moblin or IRL Pro. Click Next.
  3. With Moblin on your iPhone, tap Open in Moblin. On a computer, click Show the QR code and scan it with the iPhone's camera. Moblin adds a ready-made stream called Multistream.
  4. With another app, copy the Server, Port and Stream ID (or the SRT address) into its connection settings, and set the video codec to H.264.
  5. Click Next, then Check my phone's settings, and start streaming in your app. It tells you what to fix, if anything.

The QR code holds your stream key: never show it on stream.

Click Set it up to turn on Disconnect protection: when your signal drops, viewers see your BRB screen and the same broadcast carries on.

Watch your stream from your phone

  1. Open Phone streaming on your phone. On a computer, that page has a QR code that opens it on the phone.
  2. Add it to your home screen: on iPhone, Share, then Add to Home Screen; on Android, the menu, then Add to Home screen.
  3. Start streaming in your app. The page shows Live with the time, your signal and each platform.
  4. If your signal drops, it shows BRB screen on and how long until the stream ends.
  5. Tap End stream now, then tap again to end on every platform. Stop the stream in your app too.

In the app

  1. Open Go live in the sidebar and pick Multistream Cloud: phone streaming goes through it.
  2. Open Phone streaming in the sidebar, under Multistream. It shows the same page as the website.
  3. Click Connect my phone to set up your phone app in the Setup guide.
  4. Scan the QR code with your phone to open the page there while you're out.
